What is Ivf Acupuncture and how does it work?

IVF Acupuncture is a complementary therapy that plays a vital role in supporting in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. This practice involves the strategic placement of acupuncture needles to optimize the body's condition for IVF. By promoting increased blood flow to the uterus and regulating hormone levels, IVF Acupuncture creates an ideal environment for implantation. Additionally, its stress-reducing benefits are crucial, as they can significantly enhance the success rate of IVF treatments.

Our IVF Acupuncture program is uniquely designed to support both partners undergoing IVF. Understanding that infertility can be a shared journey, we focus on addressing aspects like male factor infertility, which is often an overlooked yet essential factor. Regular acupuncture treatments have shown remarkable results in improving sperm quality and morphology in our male patients. This holistic approach targets the physical factors of reproductive health and offers mental and emotional support, which is essential for the IVF process.

By treating both partners, our goal is to enhance the overall fertility potential and create a supportive and balanced environment. IVF Acupuncture with us is more than a series of treatments; it's a comprehensive pathway aimed at nurturing both partners' well-being, thereby increasing the likelihood of a successful conception and a smooth IVF journey.
"The IVF process was emotionally draining for both of us. We heard about Deanna's specialized acupuncture treatments for IVF support and decided to try it. It was the best decision we made. The sessions significantly reduced our anxiety levels and made us more hopeful and positive. Deanna's understanding and care made a world of difference."

Acupuncture & IVF: Backed by Research

Several studies have shown the positive impact of acupuncture on IVF success rates. From enhancing implantation rates to reducing the stress and anxiety associated with IVF, acupuncture stands as a powerful ally in your fertility journey.

A research study titled "Acupuncture performed before and after embryo transfer" explored the effects of individualized acupuncture on women undergoing fresh embryo transfer (ET). The results demonstrated that individualized acupuncture administered on the day of embryo transfer was linked to a 55% increase in FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) live births. and improved embryo implantation rates. , there was a 42% reduction in biochemical pregnancies when compared to FET alone. This suggests that acupuncture, when tailored to the individual and performed on the day of ET, can significantly enhance the success rates of in vitro fertilisation (IVF)and improve embryo implantation. [Source: Fertility and Sterility]

A comprehensive meta-analysis, which is considered the pinnacle of research in its domain, examined data from 3,188 women across 12 randomized trials. The findings highlighted that acupuncture notably influenced the birth outcomes of women undergoing IVF and ICSI treatments. The study also suggests that the impact of acupuncture could be related to its dosage, meaning the number of sessions and their duration might play a role. While the research landscape is ever-evolving and results are not definitive, this particular study underscores the potential of acupuncture as a valuable adjunct to IVF treatment. (Research Cited: The British Acupuncture Council)
